Residence of the Quietest Tsar

On the ‘Residence of the Quietest Tsar’ tour you will take a walk around the Izmailovo Island and visit the permanent exhibition entitled ‘Izmailovo – a XVII century royal patrimony’. You will see architectural sites of the late Middle Ages period such as the Bridge Tower, the Intercession Cathedral and other buildings of the old royal residence. At the exhibition you will learn about agricultural and industrial experiments carried out at Izmailovo and how deeply Tsar Alexey Romanov himself was involved in them.
