St. George Church is a XVII century wooden architecture site. It was built in 1685 in Northern Russia (Semyonovskoe village, Arkhangelsk region) at the congregation expense.

In 2003, painter Ivan Glazunov initiated its transportation to Kolomenskoe Museum-Reserve. In June 2011, it was re-assembled in the Zhuzha Rivulet valley, by the other sites of the Museum of Wooden Architecture. The research and restoration revealed some previously unknown details: a board with the church construction date inscribed and a décor on the upper storey.

The permanent exhibition open at the Wooden Church of St. George the Victorious tells how it was created, existed for three centuries, about its transportation to Kolomenskoe and restoration stages. In the main church hall you will see fragments of the fresco (the four Evangelists and the Holy Spirit) that used to decorate the church plafond in the XIX century.
